atoll-crane emerged from frustration with inadequate campervan electrical systems. Our founder spent years navigating Europe in a converted van, constantly battling power limitations and unreliable installations.

After one too many failed solar setups and dead batteries in remote locations, we decided to approach the problem differently. We studied renewable energy engineering, learned from marine electrical systems, and tested dozens of component combinations in real-world conditions.

What started as solving our own problem evolved into a business helping others achieve genuine energy independence on the road.

Component selection focuses on proven reliability rather than latest technology. We use lithium batteries from manufacturers with extensive testing data. Solar panels with verified degradation curves. Charge controllers with established track records.

Every installation includes proper fusing, appropriate cable sizing, and clean wiring that you or future technicians can understand. We document everything thoroughly because you might need to troubleshoot something yourself far from assistance.
